An example of models from Partners and community are the family of large language models developed by Anthropic.

Characteristics of Models from Partners and Community:

• Developed and supported by external partners and community contributors.
• Diverse range of specialized models catering to niche or broad use cases.
• Typically validated by providers themselves, with integration guidelines provided by Azure.
• Community-driven innovation and rapid availability of cutting-edge models.
• Standard Azure AI integration, with support and maintenance managed by the respective providers.

Models from Partners and Community are deployable as Managed Compute or serverless API deployment options. The model provider selects how the models are deployable.

Claude Opus 5.5 is Anthropic's most capable Opus model. It is better at coding, knowledge work, and long-running tasks. It is also a better communicator and more cost efficient. It does more with fewer tokens, and lower per-token prices and much cheaper cache reads stack on top of those gains. It supports a 1M-token context window and 128K output tokens.

Version 2 of Claude Opus 5.5 is hosted on Azure infrastructure. Microsoft Foundry Claude models on Azure infrastructure have inference processing in Azure. For inference processing hosted on Anthropic’s infrastructure, you can use Version 1

• Communication: reports back like a teammate. Keeps users updated in plain language as it works, laying out what it did, what it found, and what it needs to keep going. Summaries of long runs are shorter and easier to follow.
• Agentic coding: a step up from Claude Opus 5. Builds features, debugs, refactors, and reviews code across large codebases in sessions that run for hours, finding the root cause before changing anything and checking its work as it goes.
• Knowledge work: pulls together sources, works through long documents and spreadsheets, and drafts the memo, report, or deck. Produces shareable documents and spreadsheets that require limited editing compared to Claude Opus 5 outputs.
• Cost efficiency: does more with fewer tokens. Lower per-token prices and much cheaper cache reads stack on top of those efficiency gains, so teams can run more ambitious agentic work at scale.
