These models constitute the vast majority of the Azure AI Foundry Models and are provided by trusted third-party organizations, partners, research labs, and community contributors. These models offer specialized and diverse AI capabilities, covering a wide array of scenarios, industries, and innovations. An example of models from Partners and community are the family of large language models developed by Anthropic.

Anthropic includes Claude family of state-of-the-art large language models that support text and image input, text output, multilingual capabilities, and vision. See Anthropic's privacy policy to know more about privacy. Learn how to deploy Anthropic models .

Characteristics of Models from Partners and Community:

  • Developed and supported by external partners and community contributors.
  • Diverse range of specialized models catering to niche or broad use cases.
  • Typically validated by providers themselves, with integration guidelines provided by Azure.
  • Community-driven innovation and rapid availability of cutting-edge models.
  • Standard Azure AI integration, with support and maintenance managed by the respective providers.

Models from Partners and Community are deployable as Managed Compute or serverless API deployment options. The model provider selects how the models are deployable.

About this model

Version 2

Version 2 of Claude Haiku 5.5 is hosted on Azure infrastructure. Microsoft Foundry Claude models on Azure infrastructure have full Azure data residency for inference processing.Claude Haiku 5.5 supports both Global Standard and US DataZone deployment types. For inference processing hosted on Anthropic’s infrastructure, you can use Version 1
To deploy Version 2, make sure to select it from the version dropdown if you are using the deployment UI. Version 2 supports a subset of Messages API features. You can review the differences in API features between Version 1 and Version 2 here: API feature differences

Key model capabilities

  • Effort control: Haiku 5.5 is the first Haiku with effort levels (low, medium, high, xhigh, and max), so teams can tune cost against intelligence for each task.
  • Fast subagents: Haiku 5.5 takes on well-defined subtasks from larger Claude models, which makes it practical to run many agents in parallel.
  • Computer use and tool use: Haiku 5.5 handles multi-step tool use and repetitive browser and desktop tasks at scale.
  • Vision: Haiku 5.5 supports high-resolution images, so it can read screenshots, charts, and documents.
