About this model
Kimi K2.7 Code is a coding-focused agentic model built upon Kimi K2.6. It improves real-world long-horizon coding tasks, strengthens end-to-end task completion across complex software engineering workflows, and improves token efficiency by reducing thinking-token usage by approximately 30% compared with Kimi K2.6. Kimi K2.7 Code has the same architecture as Kimi K2.5 and Kimi K2.6, supports thinking mode with preserve-thinking enabled, and shares the interleaved thinking and multi-step tool call design of Kimi K2 Thinking.
Key model capabilities
- Long-horizon coding and complex software engineering workflows
- Improved token efficiency with approximately 30% lower thinking-token usage than Kimi K2.6
- Thinking mode with preserve-thinking enabled by default
- Interleaved thinking and multi-step tool call support
- Native multimodal understanding with text, image, and video inputs
- Mixture-of-Experts architecture with 1T total parameters and 32B activated parameters
- 256K token context window
- Function calling and tool use
